Persons with disabilities are overrepresented in the criminal legal system both as defendants and as victims of crimes, with persons with ID/DD especially vulnerable to crimes of violence and sexual assault. However, most system stakeholders have little to no education, training, or experience in working with persons with ID/DD, further harming an already vulnerable population.

Develop training and/or educational materials for stakeholders regarding Restorative Justice, its efficacy, its limitations, and key considerations in the creation of a Restorative Justice Program.
Assist in the formation and development of a local collaborative which will guide and inform community consideration for operation of a Restorative Justice program in Prince William County
